Nature has always been the starting point for her designs. Cape Breton Island serves as a rich source of inspiration.
"The fishermen here taught me how to knit nets and so I made a mermaid dress from actual lobster twine. I grow a lot of herbs and flowers to have direct inspiration, as well as living on the beautiful maritime coast and gathering shells, seaweed, and herring scales, which go into the middle of the seaweed earrings. My designs are made to enrich people's feelings about themselves and the world. Hope you like them!"
